Choose the island life

Choose the island life

There are many benefits to having an island in your kitchen. More counter and storage space are the obvious benefits but they can also offer an additional eating area, room for an extra appliance, and a small work sink to make food preparation a breeze.

If you’re looking to choose the island life, then here’s some inspiration from our recent projects.

Angular elegance

This geometric island certainly brings the WOW factor to this kitchen design. The Dekton Entzo countertop in pale ivory is the perfect contrast to the painted oyster Sheraton kitchen and is a tough, highly resistant and durable surface.

Its angular shape offers a stylish overhang to incorporate the seating area on one side and plenty of hidden storage and deep pan drawers on the other.

Smaller space?

Islands in smaller kitchens can prove an invaluable addition where space is at a premium. An extra worktop for food preparation, storage solutions and a seating area can make your kitchen much more versatile and a place to enjoy spending time in.

This rectangular island with a fossil grey quartz worktop is perfectly proportioned to the surrounding Oakcraft painted shaker kitchen, ensuring plenty of space to open cupboards and appliances.

Island of dreams

This island has everything! Plenty of storage in the form of cupboards and deep pan drawers beneath the hob, a Quooker tap for instant hot water for cooking, and a wine cooler with easy access for guests when you’re entertaining.

The curved end of the myriad quartz countertop is mirrored in the ceiling extraction and lighting, offering a softer contrast as it blends into the open-plan living area.

Before we put pen to paper, we recommend a home design visit to survey your space and take the time to fully understand your property, your room, and your requirements.

“We have worked with Atlantis Kitchens for many years now and have built an excellent relationship with them. The staff always go the extra mile for you; from the designers, office team to the fitters, and their attention to detail is superb. The kitchens themselves are brilliant quality and if any issues arise, the after sales team resolve the problem without any hesitation. We would highly recommend Atlantis Kitchens to anyone who is looking for a new kitchen.”
