Tell us a little bit about yourself

I was born and lived in Romania until I was 18. I moved to England in May 2014, and I currently live in Kendal. A brief description of me is that people tell me I am very friendly, determined, and always willing to help. I have always had a passion for cooking and quite often bring a sample of my latest creation for my work colleagues to taste. My hobby is learning as many languages as I can. I always strive to learn new things, as my motto is ‘knowledge is power’.

What is your role at Atlantis Kitchens?

My role at Atlantis is CAD Assistant and Client Support. I enjoy my role very much and strive to be the best. I hope to learn as much as possible about the art of designing and selling kitchens, and I spend many evenings researching this vocation.

What does a typical day look like?

This is difficult to explain, as each day can vary quite significantly. I have to be able to wear many hats, so to speak! There are days when I focus on CAD designs, sometimes working to tight deadlines. I answer the telephone, deal with clients’ queries, and then other times I can be in the showroom with a potential client for quite a while, helping them to make their choices. The days go very quickly, and there are never enough hours in the day, but on saying this, I have realised that this is partly because I enjoy my work very much.

What is the biggest challenge in your role?

I would say that my biggest challenge is time management for each of the different roles that I am responsible for. However, I do not find these challenging as I enjoy stretching my abilities to their maximum potential.

What are you most excited about within the business – both now and in the future?

I am excited about how Atlantis has evolved in the years since I started working here, and I am looking forward to the progress of Atlantis and being part of this. Who knows, I may even become the first female designer the company has ever had!

Within your role, what are you most proud about?

I am a very quick learner, and I am proud of this, as it has helped me become proficient. I am also proud that when I have dealt with clients, they leave happy with the service they have received. I am proud that the sales director, Ian Radford, considers me to be his right-hand co-worker.

Share something your colleagues don’t know about you.

I have a love for reading and writing literature.
