Grey kitchen ideas, perfect for any design

Grey kitchen ideas, perfect for any design

With bold colours on the rise and the white kitchen remaining a classic option, there is much to say about the in-between. Adding a wealth of depth and sophistication to your interior design.

From a hint to almost black, grey kitchen cabinets can offer a versatile colour palette for any design. We find many customers requesting a grey colour scheme want a ‘blank canvas’ to then build on throughout their complete kitchen design – though some go on to choose something completely different!

With so many shades available the tone you choose will determine the look and feel of your space. Warm-toned greys will feel completely different to blue-based options.

We asked our Atlantis team how they use different greys to create amazing designs that feel unique to you and your home.

A touch above white

In this kitchen design, Andrey has used light grey, gloss kitchen units to flood the space with light. The darker wood floor and the bold blue/grey walls provide the perfect contrast for this design.

Open shelving and half-width glass wall units add extra storage without feeling too enclosed.

Blue-based shades

This kitchen has a fantastic view of Lake Windermere, which Dan has used as inspiration when using the blue/grey scheme with the popular Sheraton In-line signature range painted in spitfire blue. Partnered with the warmer shades of the flooring and lighting, it’s the perfect place to sit with a morning coffee.

Mix and match greys

Using a combination of pale and dark grey cabinets can add definition to a larger kitchen, with a softer contrast than you would get from a black-and-white scheme.

Stef has used Chippendale Moda, classic shaker-style cabinet doors in graphite for the base units and tall storage and light grey wall cabinets. Combining the Diore Cortona Quartz worktop and the yellow tiles, this kitchen boasts a very bright feel with colours that really pop.

Matte grey or gloss?

Gloss kitchen cabinets can add a different look altogether. For this scheme, Ian used handleless Sheraton In-Line gloss cabinets in limestone and anthracite for the oven ‘bank’ to add contrast. The finish on your kitchen doors can make all the difference, especially in a smaller kitchen.

With so many different grey tones available, there is something to suit every taste and style. Whether you prefer a modern or traditional design, or have a large or small space, we’re sure to find a shade that is perfect for you, and that will look amazing for years to come.
